Carol M. Vante, age 68, of Wrightstown passed away Saturday, December 3 at the Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center in Mt. Holly. Born in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, she was a Wrightstown area resident since 1977 and formerly lived in New York. Carol worked as a self-employed florist. She was a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Ladies Auxiliary and she enjoyed organizing bus trips to Atlantic City with her friends. Carol was predeceased by a brother, James Vante. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Phillips, Sr.; a brother, Robert Vante and wife Evelyn of St. Thomas; four sisters, Joan Beevers of Florida, Lydia Colartorti and husband Dominic of New York, Gloria Thomas and husband Frank of Florida and Grace Vante of St. Thomas; several nieces and nephews and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral services for Carol will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.TilghmanFH.com), with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. Calling hours will be on Tuesday evening, December 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
