Obituary of Norman L. VanSciver

Norman L. VanSciver, age 83, of Cream Ridge, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. He was born in Mt. Laurel to the late William and Ella VanSciver. Norman grew up and was a lifelong resident of both Hainesport and Lumberton before moving to Cream Ridge in 2001. He was the founder and owner of VanSciver Fuel and Trucking until his retirement in 2002. Norman enjoyed bowling, boxing, wrestling, car races and mostly classic cars. He was a family man and adored spending as much time with them as he could. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed. 

Norman is survived by his loving wife Ethel of 60 years; his 5 daughters, Beverly Brechwald (Richard) of San Diego CA, Linda Finley (David) of Central SC, Corinne Puigdollers (Jorge) of Westampton, Norma Gunning (Kelly) of San Diego CA and Terry Sanders (George) of Lumberton, his sister Sarah VanSciver; 9 grandchildren, Richie, Robbie, Larry, Bradley, Rachel, Stefanie, Kyle, Kevin and Ryan; and great- grandchildren, Sara, Nathaniel and Paige.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 10AM to 11:30AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 11:30AM. Interment will follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the New Egypt First Aid Squad, 32 Brynmore Rd, New Egypt, NJ 08533 or to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
