Russell “Rusty” P. Chamberlain, age 53, of Columbus, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at home. He was born in Trenton to the late Dorothy and Harold Chamberlain, Jr.  on September 21, 1963. In March of 1982, Rusty started dating the love of his life, Nona. The two were later married in 1997 and raised a family of three girls. Rusty worked as a warehouse manager for Sigma Corp., before retiring a few years ago. He loved taking care of rabbits, hunting and fishing. Rusty was known for being straight forward and yet at the same time, being funny and silly. He enjoyed spending his free time with his friends, family and his adored dogs Gunner and Tink. Rusty was a loving husband, father, Poppy, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rusty is predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law Brian Willitts.

He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Nona Chamberlain (Willitts) of Columbus; his daughter, Cristi Chamberlain of New Egypt; step-daughters, Amy Locha and husband Dave of Beachwood and Heather Merrill and husband Walt of Wallkill NY; his brothers, Hal Chamberlain and wife Cindy of Whiting and Richie Chamberlain and wife Linda of New Egypt; his sister Sue Liedtka of New Egypt; his seven grandchildren, Nick, Alexis, Jaden, Kaylee, Isabella, David II and Walter; mother and father-in-law Ray and Dee Willitts of Lakeland FL; brother-in-law’s,  Ray Willitts of Browns Mills and Jody Willitts of Columbus; sister-in-law’s, Tammy Willitts of Chicago IL and Tammy Willitts of New Egypt; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services for Rusty are being held privately. All arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral home in New Egypt. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family via mail to Tilghman Funeral Home C/O The Chamberlain Family, 52 Main Street, New Egypt N J 08533.
