Obituary of Victoria Ann Stone

Victoria “Vicki” Ann Stone (nee Norton), age 68, of Cookstown, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden. She was born in Trenton to Russell and Antoinette Norton on September 28, 1950. Vicki married the love of her life, Edward Stone in 1977 and the couple had one daughter. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton for over 35 years before retiring. Vicki had many hobbies but she loved playing cards with her friends, going to the casinos and taking rides with Ed. They would go new places and try different diners everywhere they went. She also enjoyed shopping, whether it was online, QVC or heading to the stores. Vicki’s most favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be sorely missed.

Vicki is predeceased by her mother, Antoinette Norton (nee Pocino); her sister-in-law Gladys Emery; her brother-in-law John Lee Stone; and by her mother-in-law Olive Goetz.

She leaves behind her husband, Edward Stone of Cookstown; her daughter Laura Corcoran and husband Mike of Old Bridge; her father Russell Norton of Hamilton Township; her sister Michele Dombrowski and husband Douglas of Hamilton Township; her adored grandchildren, Michael and Avery; along with several extended family members, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 2PM to 4PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 4PM. Interment will be held private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vicki’s memory to either the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to a charity of your choice.
