Nadine H. Gravatt (nee Stewart)
March 9th 1944- March 31st 2019
Nadine H. Gravatt, 75, of the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold, passed away peacefully while at her home on Sunday, March 31st.
She was a floral designer for many years and flourished with anything involving creativity. She was a teddy bear artist designing one of a kind bears that were enjoyed by many families and children while reaching the covers of national publications.
While at home, she was a devoted animal lover particularly with her Arabian horses and numerous cats and dogs. She found great fulfillment in training her Arabians to join the highest tier of show winners. Everyone whom came to know her respected her spirit, competitiveness, dedication, and sportsmanship in the equestrian world. All will miss her.
Nadine is survived by her sons Raymond Gravatt Jr. and wife Cheryl of Manahawkin, New Jersey and Brett Gravatt and wife Kelli of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Troy, and Zachary; 2 great-grandchildren, Cameron and Hudson who is on the way; brother Todd Stewart and sister Harlene Maxwell; niece Jeanine Bongiovanni; and several extended family members.
Nadine was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Raymond C. Gravatt Sr. in 2009.
Per Nadine’s wishes, the memorial service will be graveside and held at the Ye Olde Yellow Meeting House Cemetery located at 70 Yellow Meeting House Road in Cream Ridge, New Jersey 08514 Friday April 12th at 1:30pm.
