Obituary of Wilmot G. Mowery

Wilmot G. Mowery, age of 71, a longtime resident of Wrightstown, passed away with his family by his side on June 24, 2019 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills.  Wilmot was born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on November 11, 1947 to the late Robert and Margie Mowery.  After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for nearly four years.  While in the service, he married the love of his life, Victoria A. VanArsdale, and the couple had three children.

 

Wilmot worked as a mechanic for Goodyear in Burlington for many years before his retirement. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying fishing trips and camping. Wilmot also enjoyed racing and racecars. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed deeply.

 

Wilmot is predeceased by his parents Robert and Margie Mowery (nee Showmaker); and by his brother Ron Mowery.

 

He leaves behind his adored wife of 50 years, Victoria Mowery of Wrightstown; his daughter MaryAnn Holley and husband Lawrence of Browns Mills; his two sons, Kennan Mowery of Jacobstown and  son Shawn Mowery and wife Amanda of Jacobstown; his five grandchildren, Andre, Derrick, Dante, Michael, and Tomas; siblings, Robert, Terri,  Wanda and Sue; along with many friends.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 9 AM to 11AM at Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Interment will follow at the Cream Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Wilmot’s memory to the American Diabetes Association located at 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
