Deborah Helen Bernotas (Olley), 66, passed peacefully after a long battle with breast cancer surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 24th, 1953 in Shamokin, PA, she most recently lived in Bordentown and previously lived in Mount Holly for 18 years. Deborah was a graduate of Ashland State General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a pediatric and cardiac nurse at Lankenau Hospital and Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital. She retired from nursing in 2005 after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Deborah supported her husband as a military wife for 24 years living in Delaware, Michigan, Lakenheath, United Kingdom, New York and ultimately, New Jersey, where they retired in Mount Holly. Throughout her husband’s military career, Deborah participated in several activities with the Officer’s Wife’s Club and served a term as President. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, the book club, and attending Broadway shows through the USO. She became a Ham Radio operator, call sign N2WXG, along with her husband, Vince, and oldest son, Vincent, volunteering for several Horseback Trail Rides. Deborah was an avid Phillies and Penn State football fan. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her three children, Vincent Edward, Rachael Simone and Aaron James, with her husband. She never missed an opportunity to watch her children participate in their numerous activities, whether it be cheering at her sons’ football games or daughter’s horse shows. Deborah loved spending time with her husband taking long drives to Wildwood and Cape May. She enjoyed arts and crafts, calligraphy, crosswords, games, and Snoopy. She had a love for animals, especially dogs and participated in several Tri-State Basset Hound Rescue Boardwaddles. Deborah was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Shirley Olley (Bressler), a brother, Richard, and her husband of 44 years, Vincent. She is survived by her children, Vincent and wife Kasey of Bordentown, Rachael and husband Robert of Bordentown, and Aaron and wife Caitlin of Yardville; a sister, Lori Sedor and husband John of Kulpmont, PA; grandchildren, Kiernan, Jessa, Joseph, Robby and Rowan; a sister-in-law Jeannie Burns, and her beloved German Shepherd Mieke, along with several nieces and nephews.
