Obituary of Laura H. Johnson

Laura H. Johnson, age 78, of Southampton, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Englewood Hospice House in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born in Trenton, NJ to the late John and Loretta Conger on January 28, 1942. Laura worked as a bus driver for Lenape High School. She enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, tubing and going to the movies. Laura was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed. Laura is predeceased by her beloved husband James S. Johnson Jr, and several brothers and sisters. She leaves behind her five children; Kathryn Morrison of Michigan, Linda Ross and husband Fred of Southampton, NJ, Sharon Horn and husband Harold of Michigan, James S. Johnson III of Southampton, and Jamie Getman and husband Adam of Jacksonville, FL; her nine grandchildren, Fred, Derek, Pride, Gina, Joe, Josh, Nick, Shana, and Amelia; her eight great grandchildren, Cody, Cheyanne, Kayla, Brooke, Lacie, Blake, Jake, and Liam; her two sisters, Sharon Runion of Browns Mills, and Carol Lopas and husband of Colorado. A graveside service for Laura will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 2:00 PM at the Jacobstown Cemetery on Schoolhouse Road in Jacobstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Laura’s memory to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
