Obituary of Carolyn H. Paschal

Carolyn H. Paschal (nee Hobbs), age 87, of Cream Ridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, New Jersey. She was born on December 26, 1932 to the late Frank and Helen Hobbs in Greensboro, North Carolina. Carolyn grew up in Greensboro and married Fletcher Paschal, Jr. on October 8, 1949. In 1953 Carolyn and her family left North Carolina and moved to New Jersey. She worked for Monsanto in Yardville for several years until her retirement. Carolyn was an active member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church and of the New Egypt American Legion Post 455 Aux. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed quilting. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Carolyn in predeceased by her parents, Frank and Helen Hobbs (nee Miles); her adored husband, Fletcher E. Paschal, Jr.; her sister, Frances Key; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Paschal; and by her granddaughter-in-law, Kristy Stinson. She leaves behind her two sons, Frank Paschal and wife Nancy of Jacobstown and Wayne Paschal of Cream Ridge; her daughter Terry Stinson and husband Dicky of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina; her sisters, Betty Hobbs of Greensboro, North Carolina and Ann Bischoff of Waldoboro, Maine; five grandchildren, Richard Stinson, Jr. of New Egypt, Lisa Marie Brookes and husband Dan of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina, Amanda Deaton and husband Cecil of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jason Paschal of Cream Ridge and Daniel Paschal of Cream Ridge; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Adrianna Stinson; along with several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, New Jersey 08533. A funeral service will begin at 10:30AM with interment to follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Social distancing and face coverings are required and a maximum limit of 25 people at a time in the funeral home is allowed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carolyn’s memory to the New Egypt United Methodist Church, 38 N. Main Street, New Egypt, New Jersey 08533.
