Eleanor M. Lemm, age 81, of Browns Mills, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. She was born in Camden, NJ to the late Adolf and Helen Lemm on May 8, 1939. Eleanor was a devoted woman of faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Browns Mills for many years. She loved to sing and enjoyed all sorts of music. Eleanor was crafty and loved crocheting. Eleanor had a huge heart for her family, her church family and a lover of all animals. She enjoyed visiting thrift stores with her sisters. Eleanor was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
She leaves behind her three daughters, Wanda Plankey (Eddie) of Knoxville, TN, Deborah Pancoast and husband Dale of Browns Mills, NJ, Judith Lemm of Arizona and adopted daughter Karen Lightcap, a special son-in-law Lloyd G. Plankey; her three grandchildren, Lloyd (Junny) Plankey, Edward (Edwick) Plankey and Christina Sweet (Tyler); one soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Olivia; five siblings, Richard Lemm, Emma Merola, Elizabeth Henderson, Dolores Rupert and Linda Lins, her long-time companion, Robert Sendbo (deceased) along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 1:00PM to 2:30PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 2:30PM. Social distancing and face coverings are required at the funeral home, with a maximum limit of 25 people at a time allowed inside.
