John S. Hunter, Jr., age 66, of Browns Mills, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills. John was born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late John and Catherine Hunter on July 13, 1954. In 1975, he married the love of his life, Linda Babulski and the couple had two children. John proudly served in the US Air Force for several years as a Security Police Officer until his retirement. After he retired, he went to work as the head custodian for Pemberton Township Schools. In his free time, John enjoyed being with his family, fishing and golfing. He also had a love for tinkering and wood work. John was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and dear friend who will be deeply missed.
John is predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his adored wife, Linda Hunter, of Browns Mills; his two sons, John M. Hunter of Corpus Christi TX and Matthew J. Hunter of Browns Mills, who is currently serving in the US Air Force; his two sisters, Kim Hunter of Las Vegas NV and Erin Pupos of Toms River; his niece, Lauerin, her husband Jason and their one son; his nephew Brian, his wife Angela and their two sons; and his two beloved companions, Boris and Marilyn.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 4PM to 6PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 6PM. Interment will be held private at the convenience of the family. Social distancing and face coverings are required, with a maximum of 25 people inside at a time.
