Obituary of Andrew T. Kasony III

Andrew T. “Andy” Kasony III, age 73, of Wrightstown passed away Friday, March 5 at his winter residence in Clearwater, FL. He was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Mary and Andrew Kasony II. Andy was a resident of Wrightstown since 1999 and formerly of Roebling. Andy retired from the Trenton Post Office after 30 years of service. He also proudly served in the US Navy and Navy Reserves for a total of 25 years. Andy received a Bachelor’s Degree from Trenton State College (TCNJ). He enjoyed playing basketball throughout his life and loved to watch short track auto racing with his grandson, Chase. Andy loved all sports, especially Phillies Baseball which is why he had a winter home in Clearwater. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all. Andy was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Barbara (Lewis) Kasony; a son, Wayne Wharton and wife Chenoa of Cookstown; a daughter, Bobbi Wharton and husband Darrin Nicholl of Wrightstown; four grandsons, Colton, Wyatt, Tyler and Chace; a step-granddaughter, Chelsea Nicholl; a brother, George Kasony and wife Tammy of Auburn, MI; a sister, Marie Repko and husband Stan of Princeton, NJ and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and military honors for Andy will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 11:00 AM at the Jacobstown Cemetery on Schoolhouse Road in Jacobstown, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt.
