Obituary of Loretta M. Sytnik

Loretta M. Sytnik, age 93, of North Hanover Twp. passed away Sunday, April 25 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Born in Trenton to the late Louis and Margaret Bialota, she was a long time North Hanover area resident. Loretta was a parishioner at the Church of the Assumption. She worked as an administrative support specialist for the State of NJ Treasury Department in the Division of Investments, retiring at the age of 72. In the 1940’s Loretta worked in Trenton at a furniture store and was proud to say that Lucile Ball was one of her customers. After she married her husband Stanley in 1948, she helped him work the two farms they managed. The first one was in Bucks County, PA for about three years then they relocated to a farm in North Hanover Twp. There they continued in agriculture primarily harvesting asparagus, tomatoes, carrots and field corn for the next sixteen years. They had to sell the farm due to health reasons and relocated on a two acre lot near the town of Jacobstown. There a few years later she lost her husband due to illness and raised her children as a single mother and did a great job. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will missed by all. Loretta was predeceased by her husband Stanley Sytnik in 1969; her brothers, John, Robert and Louis and a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Sytnik. She is survived by three sons, Stanley Sytnik, Jr., Edward Sytnik and Richard Sytnik and wife Nicole all of North Hanover; a daughter, Loretta Ikalewicz and husband James of Newfield, NJ; six grandchildren, Andrew Sytnik and wife Melanie, Mathew Sytnik, Danielle Hornick and husband Mike, Brandon Sytnik, Nicholas Sytnik and Eric Ikalewicz and wife Jamie and four great grandchildren, Alan and Walter Sytnik and Oliver and Elliot Hornick.
