Donald Parker, age 90, resident of Whiting, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Crestwood Manor in Whiting, NJ. He was born on December 25, 1934 in New Hanover Township to the late Roy and Anna Parker. Donald worked as a carpenter, then later a Road Foreman for the Ocean County Road Department. Donald loved the outdoors. As a boy you could find him riding horses, working with his dad, or playing baseball, where he was a pitcher and outfielder for the Allentown H.S. Red Birds. His love for baseball extended into adulthood, teaching youngster America’s pastime as a New Egypt, Little League Baseball coach, and watching the Phillies. Whether growing crops such as corn and string beans for family and local farm stands, Donald loved to farm. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and will be deeply missed.
Donald leaves behind his beloved wife, Betty Lou Parker (nee Caines); his daughter, Cindy (Craig) Pache; his son, Donald Parker, Jr; grandchildren Adam and Matthew Pache, sister Thelma Davison, and many nieces and nephews.
Donald is predeceased by his parents, Roy and Anna (nee Stevenson) Parker, along with sisters Grace (nee Parker) Rossell (husband Norman), Florence (nee Parker) Brown (husband Jim, deceased), brother Roy Parker, Jr., brother Jackie Parker, and brother-in-law, Harold Davison.
Services for Donald are being held at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
