Obituary of Louis Varriale
Please share a memory of Louis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Louis “Lou” Varriale, age 84, of Lodi New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025. Lou was born on February 7, 1941 to the late Giacomina (nee Fiorino) and Nicholas Varriale. Lou was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York but spent much of his adult life in Queens. Lou served his country as a heavy weapons infantry man and paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army and was decorated as a sharpshooter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, scratch offs and Westerns. He spent his youth in front of the TV trying to outdraw the likes of John Wayne, Lorne Green and Michael Douglas while pretending to be Jesse James.
Lou is survived by his wife Linda (nee Chin); his children Lorri Anne, Mary Alice (Pasquale F), Matthew (Rena), and Michael (Mary Anne); and his grandchildren, Giacomina, Allison, Victoria, Niko, Milo, Lauren and Brian.
A “father” is different things to many people. To some “father” is synonymous with words like teacher, provider, and protector. With this in mind, Lou was a “father” to so many.
