Laurance R. "Larry" Lownds, age 92 of Wrightstown, passed away on Friday April 4, 2025 at home. He was born on September 4, 1932 to Thomas and Anna (Rahilly) Lownds in Wrightstown, and was a lifelong area resident. Larry He graduated from Trenton Catholic High School then attended The Catholic University in Washington, DC. Larry was an active member of his community, serving on the Wrightstown Borough Council and the Wrightstown Fire Company. He was also an active parishioner of the Church of the Assumption St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, New Egypt, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. Larry was also the organist for many years at the original Church of the Assumption. Larry worked as a procurement officer at Fort Dix for many years before retiring. He was an Air Force Veteran and loved all things about airplanes and flight, as well as model trains, photography, and animals. After his time in the Air Force, he joined and retired from the Air National Guard Surviving are several cousins, Leonard J. Rahilly and Silvia Field, Donald Rahilly, John R. Rahilly, Marilyn K. Rahilly, and Patricia Rahilly Jones (Paul); his godchildren, Christopher, Ryan and Andrew Conover; and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 9:00am until 11:00am at the St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church 28 Monmouth Road Wrightstown. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am, with burial to follow in the Assumption Cemetery, New Egypt.
