Obituary of Elizabeth C. Tumm

Elizabeth C. “Betty” Tumm, age 93, longtime resident of New Egypt, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was born on October 17, 1931 in Brookyln, NY to the late Charles and Rose Tumm. Betty was a parishioner at St. Idore the Farmer Parish in New Egypt. She worked on McGuire for the Department of Defense. Betty enjoyed going fishing and loved to garden. When she was younger, she liked to travel. She taught CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) for Church of the Assumption. Betty was a loving cousin and friend that will be deeply missed. Betty is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Rose (Bauer) Tumm; and her sister, Rosemarie Tumm. She leaves behind her cousin, Charles Bauer and wife Diane, Paul Bauer and wife Jill, and Frank Loverro. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Church of Assumption Chapel located at 76 Evergreen Road, New Egypt. Interment will take place immediately after mass at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Samaritan Hospice (www.SamaritanNJ.org) or P.O. Box 7145 Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt.
