Robert M. Lasky, Sr., age 80, longtime resident of New Egypt, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Baycare Alliant Hospital in Dunedin, Florida. He was born on June 13, 1944, in Passaic, New Jersey to the late Charles and Jean Lasky. Bob proudly served in the United States Navy for five years. He retired from Lockheed Martin (formerly RCA Astro, GE Astro, and Martin Marietta) after 40 years of service as an environmental supervisor. Bob was a life member of the New Egypt Elks Lodge #2457 and the New Egypt American Legion Post 455. His New Jersey friends called him “Flip-Flop Bob” because he was always in flip-flops, even if it was snowing. He enjoyed traveling and especially loved everything about Hawaii. Bob was known for always having a good time. In his later years he liked hanging out with his friends in Florida. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend that will be deeply missed. Bob is predeceased by his wife, Eleanor C. Lasky; his parents, Charles and Jean Lasky; and his two brothers, Charles Lasky and Gregory Lasky. He leaves behind his two sons, Robert M. Lasky, Jr. and wife Deborah, and Paul Lasky and wife Sonya; his granddaughter, Madelynne; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Bob on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and again Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish (Church of the Assumption) located at Route 537 Monmouth Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM with burial to follow in Brig General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bob’s name to New Egypt Elks Lodge #2457 located at 105 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533, or the McKaig-Test-Mullen American Legion Post 455 located at 2 Meadowbrook Lane, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
