Marie Mae Stravinsky, 90, passed away Sunday May 18th at Morning Pointe Assisted Living facility in Danville, Kentucky. She is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Eugene G. Stravinsky. Marie raised her family in New Egypt, NJ then moved to North Hanover Twp 40 years ago. She lived in KY for the past 10 months. Marie served the Lord in many volunteer positions as a faithful member of the Methodist Church of New Egypt. While in KY she attended Mt Salem Baptist Church as well as participated in church services and hymn sings at Morning Pointe. Marie was a bank teller for several years before beginning her career at The Medical Center at Princeton. She held positions as Cashier, Medical Records Data Clerk, and Insurance Verifier. She retired in 2012. Feeling restless as a retiree, Marie worked part time one summer at Great Adventure, then part time at Mannheim Auto Auction. Marie also enjoyed volunteering with the Salvation Army. She collected Christmas donations ringing the bell and wearing their iconic blue cape. Marie and her husband Gene enjoyed taking trips together throughout the Mid-Atlantic states. She delighted in clothes shopping and creating a beautiful kept home, while expressing her love through thoughtful gift-giving that touched the hearts of her family and friends. Marie is predeceased by her husband, Eugene G. Stravinsky; her parents, John and Mary (nee Ringo) Rhodes; and her siblings, Peter, Newton, Claude, Olga, and Helen. She will be greatly missed by her 2 sons Eugene II and wife Jeanette of North Hanover Twp, Bruce and wife Sharon of Hustonville, KY; Grandchildren Eugene III of NJ, Jennifer Wheeler (Ryan) of NJ, Adam (Jenn) of Florida, Amanda Burton (Joshua) of TN, Austin ( Heather) of KY, Alan (Mattea) of Ohio; Great Grandchildren Jocelyn and Niamh Wheeler, Huxton Stravinsky, Robbie and Mason Stravinsky; and her sister, Joan Rabbitz of PA. Pastor Dominick Cuozzo will officiate services on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11:30 AM at New Egypt Bible Baptist Church located at 100 Lakewood Road New Egypt, NJ 08533. Interment will take place at 1:30 PM at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
