Shirley D. (nee Foulks) Fox, age 95, longtime resident of Mt. Holly, formerly of North Hanover, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 23, 1929, in New Egypt to the late Chester and Emma Foulks. Shirley enjoyed cooking and baking, especially Christmas cookies. She loved spending time and taking care of her children, along with the neighborhood children. Shirley liked doing puzzles and playing games. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed. Shirley is predeceased by her beloved husband, David Fox; daughter, Kay Fox; parents, Chester and Emma (Maloney) Foulks; and her siblings, Thelma E. Southard, Ivins “Lightning” Foulks, Earl “Sporty” Foulks, C. Russell “Mustard” Foulks, Donald “Boy Boy” Foulks, C. William “Butch” Foulks. She leaves behind her two daughters, Mary E. Homan and Jo Ann Fox; four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert Christophersen; and the Fox Family. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Shirley and David on July 10, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Upper Springfield Cemetery located at 121 Highland Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
