Lynn K Orchard, 71, was a devoted Wife, Mother, Nan, Nanu and friend, Passed away July 31, 2025. Born on September 9, 1953, in Newark NJ she grew up in Keansburg NJ before moving and residing In Highlands NJ for 44 years. She moved to Browns Mills NJ 5 years ago to be closer to her family.
She dedicated 45 years to the nursing profession. She began her career as a CNA and graduated nursing school with her RN in 1989. She worked at Riverview Medical Center for 25 years before retiring in 2018. She was admired and loved by all who worked with her.
Lynn was predeceased by her son William (Bill) Orchard, sister Patricia Hinton, Father William (Frank) Knabe, Mother Violet (Ann) Knabe, Brother William Knabe and brother Paul Hyland. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Charles Orchard, brother in-law Raymond Orchard, children Geraldine (Geri-Ann) and David Frankin, Virginia (Ginny) and Greg Mahon and daughter-in-law Rhonda Orchard; 13 grandchildren Candice and Michael Weaver, Zavier Orchard and Amanda Baker, Alissa and Jayson Bolton, Geraldine Franklin and Jay Cortes, David (DJ) Franklin, Frankie and Rita Egan, Jamie Sanborn, Christopher Sandborn, Alexandria and Chris Atamian, Gregory Mahon and Marisa Linehan, Thomas Mahon, Garrett Mahon and 16 great grandchildren. She had many nieces and nephews that she loved like her own children.
Though she is no longer with us, her memory will continue to live on in the stories we share, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely. She requested everyone to wear bright colors not black. She wants us to celebrate her bright and beautiful life well lived with love.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 10:30am until 12:30pm at Tilghman Funeral Home 52 Main Street New Egypt, NJ 08533. Burial will follow in the Brig, Gen. WC Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Down Syndrome Society at NDSS.org in memory of Lynn.
