Joseph M. Wood, age 62, longtime resident of Burlington, peacefully passed away with his family by his side at Cooper Hospital in Camden on December 19, 2025. He was born on May 14, 1963 in Trenton, NJ to the late John and Margaret Wood. Joe was a driver for A1 Limousine. He liked watching Baseball and football, and playing in the fantasy leagues. Joe loved spending time with his family, taking his family to Disney, and taking day trips. Prior to adopting their three children, Joe and his wife Lory took pride in fostering many children. He was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend that will be deeply missed. Joe is predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret (Gould) Wood. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 37 years, Lory (Varo) Wood; his four children, Julie Bright and her husband Brandon, Mandee Wood, Cheyenne Wood, and Alex Wood; his four siblings, John Wood and wife Donna, Michael Wood and his wife Denise, Richard Wood and his girlfriend Corin; and Sharon Wood; his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Varo and his wife Joann, and Rachele Gibbons and her husband Keith; several nieces and nephews; and his fur babies. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on January 10, 2026 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Tilghman Funeral home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A memorial service will begin at 12 PM with burial to follow at Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery located on Jacobstown-Arneytown Road.
