Obituary of Paul E. Shea

Paul E. Shea, age 82, of Jacobstown passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cambridge, MA to the late Edward and Rita (Fournier) Shea, he lived in Massachusetts until joining the military.
Paul proudly served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965 and ended up in New Jersey, where he stayed. He was a resident of Yardville before moving to Jacobstown 41 years ago. He owned and operated the Robbinsville Shell Station for many years before working for Paul’s Auto in Hightstown. Paul was an excellent auto mechanic and loved working on cars. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Boston Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots fan. But most of all he was devoted to his Catholic Faith. Paul was a very active parishioner of St. Isidore the Farmer – Assumption Church, attending Mass every day. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Assumption Council 10900.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Susan (Matthews) Shea; his children, Geri Ciuba and husband Richard of Columbus, Anthony P. Shea and wife Shannon of Barnegat, Susan Morris of Las Vegas and Shawn Morris and wife Jennifer of Cookstown; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother Stephen Shea of Marlboro, MA; two sisters, Patricia Sawyer of Chelmsford, MA and Roberta Tibbetts of Sanbornton, NH; several nieces and nephews; his wonderful medical team, Dr. Christopher Vare and Dr. M. Clinch, his nurse practitioner Rahkema Harper, his nurse Nicole Tulloch and his certified home health aide Sheila Parrish and a very special “Sister” Shirley Gancarz who thought of Paul as her brother and Paul considered her his sister for the past 60 years. Paul is also survived by a daughter, Michelle Mallet of Cream Ridge.
A visitation for Paul will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at St. Isidore Parish – Assumption Church, 28 Monmouth Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 and again on Thursday morning January 22 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 22, 12:00 Noon at the Church. Burial will follow at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
