Barbara J. Sherwood, age 73, lifelong resident of New Egypt, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. She was born on June 12, 1952 in Mt. Holly to the late Ernest and Marie Guse. Barbara worked as a Telemetry Technician at Capital Health in Trenton. She loved her job and caring for others. Barbara enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. She liked going to Emery’s and getting the Blueberry Crumb Pie . Most importantly she cherished her family and grandchildren. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Barbara is predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Marie (nee Bell) Guse. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 45 years, Bill Sherwood; her three children, Kelly and her husband Mike, Stacey, and Billie Jo and her husband Rob; her grandchildren, Nicole, Alexis, Amanda, Stephanie, Katie, Jake, Samantha, Zach and Aliyah; her great-grandchildren, Kaylee, McKenzie, Liam, Nate, and Asher; her brother, Joseph Guse and his wife Arlene; her nephew Dean; and her close friend, Chris Cattani. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Barbara on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the funeral home with interment to follow at BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Province Line Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
