Peter Andrew Torruella, born June 29, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away leaving behind a legacy of creativity, laughter, and deep love for his family. He later made his home in Mount Holly, New Jersey, where he built a life filled with meaningful connections and unforgettable moments. SSG Torruellla was a proud Army combat veteran who served his country during wartime in hostile enemy territory. His courage and dedication reflected the strength of his character and his willingness to stand for something greater than himself. He found great pride in serving and defending his country. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sonia and Thomas McBride. Peter is remembered by his four children: Sparkle, Catherine, Alyssa, and Andrew, as well as his three grandchildren: Jayda, Brantley, and Noah. He is also survived by his brothers, David, Rodney, Thomas, Brian, and James, who shared in a lifetime of memories with him. His family was a central part of his life, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Known for his vibrant personality, Peter was truly the life of the party—funny, creative, and full of energy. He had a remarkable artistic spirit and expressed himself as a published author, poet, and artist. His words and creations leave behind a lasting imprint, offering comfort and inspiration to those who experience them. Peter will be remembered not only for his talents and accomplishments, but for the joy he brought into every room, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Military honors and Interment will take place at 1:30 PM at BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
