Gladys E. Emery, age 70, of New Egypt passed away Sunday, January 1 at home. Born in Trenton, she was a lifetime New Egypt area resident. Gladys was a longtime local banking employee, staying with the bank throughout their many mergers, serving as the bank manager for a time and retiring as a customer loan specialist with 3rd Federal Bank. Gladys was also an avid reader. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Olive (Horner) Stone; her grandparents who raised her, Kenneth and Eva Potter and a brother, John Lee Stone. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Donald Emery, Sr.; three sons, Shawn Stimson and wife Tammy of Rocky Mount, NC, Randy Stimson of New Egypt; and Gary Stimson, Jr. of Florida; a step-son, Donald Emery, Jr. and wife Jamie of Emmaus, PA; a brother, Edward Stone and wife Victoria of Cookstown; eight grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews. Funeral services and interment for Gladys will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.TilghmanFH.com).
