Obituary of Marcelle P. Houser

Marcelle P. Houser, age 92, longtime resident of New Egypt, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. She was born on December 29, 1930 in Mullica Township to the late William and Pearl (nee Schulze) Weil. Marcelle worked in the accounts payable department for Pacemaker Corporation located in Lower Bank. She also helped her husband George manage Houser’s Garage in Greenbank. Marcelle enjoyed reading and going out to dinner with family and friends. She was a big Philadelphia Eagles fan, and liked watching game shows and playing cards. Marcelle was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and a friend that will be deeply missed. Marcelle is predeceased by her husband, George Houser; her parents, William and Pearl Weil; and her brother and sister, Louis Weil, and Pearl Lee. She leaves behind her daughter, Jean Robson of New Egypt; her granddaughter, Rose Robson of North Hanover; her nieces and nephew, Stewart Bergmann of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Debbie Glazewski of Hammonton, New Jersey, and Karen Petuskey of Las Vegas, Nevada. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Marcelle on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Greenbank Cemetery located at 1083 River Road, Green Bank, NJ 08215. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Marcelle’s memory to Jacobstown Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary located at 41 Schoolhouse Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
