Wayne D. Spencer, age 67, of North Hanover Twp. died Tuesday, June 25 at his residence. Born in Camden, Wayne was a New Egypt area resident for the past 35 years and formerly lived in Mt. Holly. Wayne was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1969. He had worked at Rexall Medical Supply in Mt. Holly. Wayne was a member of the American Legion Post 455 in New Egypt, a former member of the Mt. Holly Fire Department and was an avid NASCAR fan. Wayne was predeceased by his father, Leonard O. Spencer and by a sister, Carol. He is survived by his son, Charles Spencer of New Egypt; his mother, Eunice Spencer of Manahawkin; a grandson, Aiden Spencer; a sister, Patty Penel of Woodland Twp., NJ; two brothers, Craig Spencer of Manahawkin and Bruce Spencer of Maple Shade and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Wayne will be held on Friday, June 28 at 1:30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. Calling hours will be on Friday morning from 11:30 to 1:30 at the funeral home.
