Elta Christine Weber, age 77, of New Egypt, NJ died Saturday, May 17 at home. Born in Springville, PA, she was a longtime resident on New Egypt. Chris had worked in sales with TWA Airlines in Philadelphia for 33 years after which she worked for Phillips & Cohen Associates in Westampton and most recently she worked for WaWa at the Route 539 location in New Egypt. She was also a member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church. Chris was predeceased by her parents, Raymond J. and Mary I. (Palmiter) Weber; a brother Gene Weber, and her 5 sisters, Margaret Weber, Fanny Belet, Ruth Rau, Mary Van Auken and Martha Allen, She is survived by a brother Solomon Weber of Jackson; two sisters, Dorothy Svitzer of Virginia and Jane Whitby of Maybrook, NY; many nieces and nephews and her beloved pets. A memorial service for Chris will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 11:30 AM at the New Egypt United Methodist Church – Atkinson Hall, 38 North Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
