James B. Alpin Sr, 76, of Jacobstown, NJ, passed away peacefully, May 28th 2014 at his home. He was born on July 21,1937, the son of Eugene J. Alpin and Jane V. McGinley of Bristol. PA. James graduated from North Catholic. He served as a Combat Medic in The United States Army November 1956 to November 1958 when he was honorably discharged. He spent 32 years at U.S. Steel in Fairless Hills, PA where he was a Crane Operator in the Rolling Division. James and Gloria opened PIP Printing, Burlington, NJ in 1987 and retired October of 2003 to fully enjoy traveling with each other, family, and friends. He is survived by the love of his life and wife Gloria Alpin who he married on June 24, 1967.; by his sister Madeleine Liedtka and his brother and sister-in-law Eugene and Agnes Alpin; by his 3 children James Jr.(married to Mary Songster living in Machias NY), Brian (married to Christine Fitzpatrick living in Columbus NJ), and Suzanne (married to Michael Fenton living in Perkiomenville PA) and his 7 beautiful grandchildren: Caitlin, Carrie, Veronica, Kerianne, Brady, Mikey, and Brenda; numerous nieces and nephews; and his extended family, the Morrows. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 6th 2014. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:30am with a mass at 11am at the new location for the Church of the Assumption, 28 Monmouth Rd (Rte 537), Wrightstown, NJ. Interment will follow at 12:30pm at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
