Mark J. Myers Sr., age 51, of Browns Mills, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills. Born in Fort Dix, NJ he was a lifelong area resident. Mark was a medical assistant at New Lisbon Hospital and Deborah Heart and Lung Center before retiring. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post 455 New Egypt, he served as the historian and was an American Legion Rider. Mark was also the Cub Scout Leader for Pack 153, Browns Mills. Mark is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joan; his 2 sons Mark Jr., of Browns Mills and Christopher Lauritzen, of Philadelphia; a brother Harry Myers of Riverton, NJ; a sister, Sandra Fine of Browns Mills; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Lauritzen-Chambers, and Victor and Vinicius Nieva and many nieces and nephews. A viewing for Mark will be held Monday June 2, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Tilghman Funeral Home 52 Main Street New Egypt, NJ 08533 (tilghmanfh.com), with American Legion services on Monday at 8 pm.
