Harold R. “Nip” Manness, age 57, of New Egypt died Saturday, June 7 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton. Born in Bucks County, PA, he lived in Hamilton Square and Trenton before moving to New Egypt in 1999. Nip served in the US Army from 1973 to 1979 and he worked as an investigator with New Jersey Motor Vehicle Services. Nip was a member and Sergeant at Arms of the American Legion Post 455 in New Egypt and was an American Legion Rider. He was an avid motorcyclist and operated a motorcycle repair shop “Spirit of the Horse”. Nip also loved to sing karaoke at many local bars especially Elvis songs and was a tireless friend of Bill W. Nip was predeceased by his parents, Harold P. “Hank” Manness and Elizabeth “Betty Jane” Koreyva. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tracy (Keenan) Manness; two sons, Harley T. Manness of Buford, GA and Michael Calderone of Langhorne, PA; two grandchildren, Sarah and Ryan Calderone; ten brothers, William, Timothy "Rusty" and Raymond Manness all of Pennsylvania, Andy Paul Manness of Massachusetts, James and Eddie Ireland of Pennsylvania and John, George Jr., Robert and Donald Koreyva all of Pennsylvania; a sister, Brenda Pierce of Pennsylvania and many other nieces, nephews and other extended family. Funeral services for Nip will be held on Friday, June 13 at 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
