Obituary of Theodore Semczyszyn

Theodore “Ted” Semczyszyn, age 91, of Columbus passed away Monday, February 9 at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center in Mt. Holly. Born in Wrightstown, he was a life time area resident. Ted was a self-employed carpenter and craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and making furniture for family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling. Ted was a parishioner at the Church of the Assumption. Ted was predeceased by his parents, George and Katherine Semczyszyn, a brother, John Semczyszyn and by his wife, Helen Semczyszyn. He is survived by his longtime companion of 25 years, Shirley (nee Shipman) Blinn of Columbus; two sons, Theodore Semczyszyn, Jr. of Oakland, OR and Thomas Semczyszyn and wife Susan of Cream Ridge, NJ; two daughters, Deborah (Blinn) Haydon and husband Terry of Virginia and Susan (Blinn) Hovemeyer and husband Charles of Columbus grandchildren, Jennifer (Hovemeyer) Coleman and husband Jon of Edgewater Park, Brian Hovemeyer of Columbus and Thomas Phares and wife Sarah of Alabama and great grandchildren Emily Margaret Coleman and Hazel Rae Phares. Funeral services for Ted will be held on Wednesday, February 11 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery in New Egypt. Calling hours will be on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Ted’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O.
