Donald Andrew MacNeil, age 84, of Chesterfield, VA passed away Thursday, January 26 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he raised his family and lived in Maywood, NJ for over 30 years. Donald was a US Marines Corps veteran in Korea. He served his community in Maywood in the VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, CYO and served as a member in the Fire Police. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife of 53 years Catherine P. MacNeil and survived by their four sons and their wives, James and Lynn Lagomarsino, John and Cynthia Lagomarsino, Andrew and Margarita Lagomarsino, and Pat and Colleen MacNeil, 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 2, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning, February 3 at 10:00 am at the Church of Assumption, 28 Monmouth Road (Route 537), Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Burial will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
