Betty J. Stillwell, age 75, of New Egypt, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at The Manor in Freehold. She was born in northern New Jersey on December 3, 1941 to the late William and Helen Orts (nee Philhower). Betty married Daniel Stillwell, Jr. in 1963. She and Daniel raised a family together consisting of 5 children. Throughout her life, Betty loved gardening, her trips to AC and riding her horses. She worked for Kube-Pak Greenhouses for 30 years and had a flower and produce stand called BJ’s in New Egypt. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Betty is predeceased by her husband Daniel Stillwell, Jr. back in 2013. She leaves behind her 5 children, Glen Orts and his wife Darlene of Browns Mills, Linda Brown and her husband Joseph of Roebuck SC, Dan Stillwell and his wife Betty of New Egypt, Kenneth and Kimberly Stillwell of New Egypt, George and Norma Stillwell of Cream Ridge; along with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 7PM to 9PM and again on Friday morning from 10AM to 11AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow on Friday at Zion Cemetery in New Egypt.
