Obituary of Donna J. McCall

Donna Jeree McCall, age 64 of Myrtle Beach SC (formally from New Egypt), passed away surrounded by her love ones on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. She was born to the late Robert V McCall and Nell F McCall on January 25, 1953 in Mount Airy NC.  Donna is predeceased by her husband, Louis P Ancekewicz, and her brothers, Robert and Randy. She is survived by her beloved son Robert V McCall and daughter in law Irene McCall from Browns Mills NJ, and siblings Vivian, John, Karen, and Michael.

Donna had a passion to learn everything she could and to read every book she got her hands on. She loved her books and she would educate all of us on what she learned.  She spent many nights with her mom watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and everyone in the family knew they had to be on top of their game if you were going to try to compete with the two of them.  When it came to family gatherings it was a challenge for siblings, nieces and nephews to see if they could win just one board game especially if it was Scrabble.  

Donna loved children and she would be the first one to jump up and babysit if someone needed a helping hand.  She enjoyed time with family and friends, would lend her car or give someone a ride, and she always did it with a smile.  Donna worked in the dry cleaning business and the customers loved her.  She always made sure every person and service member was taken care of with not only their cleanings but that every strip and patch was placed correctly on their uniforms. Donna will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and she is at peace with her husband racing around in their green mustang.    

Visitation will be held at Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St, New Egypt, NJ 08533 on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with the funeral service at Noon.  Interment will follow in the Chapel of the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Donna’s name be made to the American Cancer Society.
