Obituary of Kathleen June Elbertson

Kathleen June Elbertson (nee Magee), age 71, of New Egypt passed away peacefully on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills NJ. She was born in Trenton to the late Donald and Anna Magee on June 4, 1946. Kathleen grew up in Trenton and became a nurse, working for North Princeton Hospital for many years. After marrying her adored husband Kenneth, they had five children and moved to New Egypt. Kathleen loved being a nurse and helping those in need. She liked going to the Jersey Shore, taking trips to Atlantic City and playing Bingo. Kathleen enjoyed watching sports and was an avid NY Giants Fan, but mostly, she lived for her family. She would always put them first and was very proud to call them her own. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed.

Kathleen is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Kenneth Elbertson in 2002 and her adored daughter Dawn Elbertson in 2013.

She leaves behind her two sons, Kenneth Elbertson and his wife Michelle of New Egypt and James Elbertson and his wife Chalique of New Egypt; her two daughters, Lisa Tucker and her husband Dave of New Egypt and Kathie Lynn Elbertson and fiancé Michael Drury of New Egypt; her sister Audrey Magee of Trenton; her brother Donald Magee of Hawaii; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be held private. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 for a Memorial Gathering from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A Funeral Service will begin at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathleen’s memory to the Church of the Assumption, 76 Evergreen Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
