Obituary of Dorothy Hollis
Dorothy M. Hollis, age 71, of Cookstown passed away Saturday, January 13 at home. Born in Morristown, NJ, she been an area resident for the past 30 years.
Dorothy worked as a waitress for over 50 years most recently with the Town & County Diner in Bordentown. She was very proud of her Blackfoot Indian heritage through her father and sponsored many Blackfoot children. Dorothy loved her cats and liked crafting and making friends. But her greatest joy in life was being with her family.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Leroy and Ruby Marlowe; her husbands, Ronald Gary Toner, Sr. and Milton R. Hollis, Jr.; a son, Ronald Gary Toner, Jr. and several siblings (she was one of fourteen children). She is survived by four daughters, Dorothy Toner of Morristown, NJ, Dolores Toner of California, Denise Hopkins and husband John of Michigan and Diana Wilson and husband James of Browns Mills; two sisters, Marlene Marlowe of Morristown and Ruby Cosgrove of Virginia; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial for Dorothy will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.TilghmanFH.com).
