Obituary of Walter F. Watznauer

Walter Frank Watznauer, age 83, of New Egypt, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at home. He was born in Hoboken to the late Frank and Marguerite Watznauer on December 17, 1934. In 1957, Walt enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for 2 years. He met his adored wife Danielle while in the service. Walt owned and operated the New Egypt Auto Body for 34 years and was very good at fixing things. He had a knack for taking things apart and putting them back together and enjoyed working around the house. Walt also loved football, horse racing and playing the lottery. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed.

Walt is predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Danielle Watznauer (nee Boye) of New Egypt; his daughter Victoria Watznauer of New Egypt; his son Andrew Watznauer and wife Lisa of New Egypt; and his grandson Paris Watznauer.

Services for Walt are being held private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Walt’s Memory to either the Popcorn Park Zoo, P.O. Box 43, Forked River, NJ 08731 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. All arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt, NJ.
