Viola M. Luker, age 74, of Browns Mills died Wednesday, August 29 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Pemberton Twp., she was a lifetime area resident. Viola was an Aide to Handicapped Children and also a Custodian for the Pemberton Twp. Board of Education. Daughter of the late Harvey & Marion (LeMunyon) Emmons and sister of the late Paul, Milton and Robert Emmons, she is survived by her husband, Charles Luker, Jr.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Charles & Brenda Luker III and Mark Luker and Penny Nichols, all of Browns Mills; a brother, Louis Emmons of Browns Mills; three sisters, Hazel Anderson of Tampa, FL, Bessie Zoppina of Browns Mills and Ruth Roth on Tennessee; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Pemberton Boro.
