Obituary of John P. Good, Jr.

John P. Good, Jr., age 72, passed away on June 21, 2018 at Del E Webb Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona. Born in Cambridge MA, he graduated from Greenwich High School in 1965. He was drafted into the US Army after high school and served in Vietnam attaining the rank of Sargent and was honorably discharged. John settled in New Egypt, NJ in the mid 70’s and was active in his community. He was Past Commander of the American Legion, Post #455, he was a volunteer with both the New Egypt First Aid Squad and Nottingham Ambulance Squad as well as a Life Member of the New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of Pyramid Lodge #92 and Sun City Lodge #72. John retired in 2011 from Capital Health Services after 25 years of service and moved to Surprise, Arizona. In Arizona, John made many new friends through his journey in AA and has touched several lives. John enjoyed gardening, fishing and a great find at a yard sale or flea market. He will be remembered by many for his amazing Garlic Pickles.
Predeceased by his parents, John P Good and Jean Cullen Tuton and his step father, Fred Tuton, and his wife, Harriet L Good, John is survived by his step brother and sister, John Tuton of Pennsylvania and Elizabeth Salem of California. His children, Jeanne Michelle Prince (Charles) of Phoenix AZ, John P Good, III (Amy) of Phoenix, AZ, Kari L Good of Mt Holly, Amanda M Phillips of Marlton, Kevin & Kyle Good of North Hanover, his step daughter, Lydia Early of New Egypt and several (14) grandchildren. He also leaves many dear friends, Renee Gard, Dean Fernandez, Tim & Cindy Egger, all of Phoenix, AZ.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, July 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM to remember John at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.TilghmanFH.com). Burial services will be on Monday, July 16 at 11:30 AM at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
