David O. Green, age 72, a lifelong resident of Cookstown, passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at home. He was born in Camden on September 5, 1945 to the late Daniel and Lillian Green. David worked as a truck driver for many years and very much enjoyed being out on the road. David was an active member of the New Hanover Senior Citizens Group and was a past member of the Cookstown Volunteer Fire Co. He enjoyed watching Nascar, woodworking and building furniture. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

David is predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Lillian Green (nee Jones); his son David “DJ” Green; and by his in-laws Martha and Henry Webb.

He leaves behind his adored wife of 50 years, Bernice Green (nee Atz) of Cookstown; two daughters, Kathy Sadler and husband Scott of MN and Joanne Hurley and husband James of NH; his sister Betty Jankiewicz and husband Rich of UT; along with four grandchildren, Jessica Sadler, Dylan Sadler, James Hurley, Jr. and Cheyenne Hurley.
