Obituary of Daniel J. Sico, Sr.

Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Daniel John Sico Sr., 44 of New Egypt went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 25th.

Danny was not formal so a formal obituary didn’t seem fitting.  He marched to the beat of his own drum.  He was a simple, practical and extremely funny guy.  He was best known for making you laugh when you wanted to cry, and for making you cry from laughing so hard.  It was impossible to not have a good time in his presence.  He loved to cook and as his guest, you were always well fed and may even get a belly ache from having too many sweets.  He was known to his nieces and nephews as “Uncle Cupcake.”  No matter what time of day he came to visit, he always brought cupcakes.  He was so generous.  He never went anywhere empty handed and was the first to give to whomever needed something.  He would give you the shirt off his back and whatever was in his pocket.  He hated getting dressed up, but when he did, he dressed in the fashion of a Rat Packmember.  His gold chain was later replaced by dog tags when he enlisted into the United States Army.  He was proud to be an American.  He was proud knowing he was protecting those he loved.  Now he will continue to protect us, this time from above.  He loved this country.  But he loved nothing more than his family.

Danny was born on October 1, 1973 to his devoted and beloved parents John and Lisa Sico of Wayne, New Jersey who now reside in Millstone Township.  Danny is survived by his brother Steven Sico, his children Sara and TJ; his sister Christina (Sico) and husband Michael Baldino and their children Isabella, Dominic, Vincenzo and Nicolina; his brother Michael and wife Olga Sico and their children Mikayla and John.  John was also his beloved Godson.

Danny is survived by his high school sweetheart Sharon Perrotta.  It was love at first sight.  They were married 23 years and had three beautiful children and an adored grandson.  He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his children Daniel Sico Jr., daughter-in-law Katie and their son Kaden; his daughters Allyson and Alyssa Sico; and his best friend and brother-in-law Kevin Perrotta as well as several other in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a viewing on Monday, September 3rd at the Tilghman Funeral Home at 52 Main Street in New Egypt, NJ from 2pm – 4pm, and from 7pm – 9pm in the evening.  A Memorial mass is scheduled for 11am Tuesday, September 4th at Church of the Assumption, 28 Monmouth Road in Wrightstown, NJ.  Danny will be laid to rest at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery at 350 Province Line Road in Wrightstown, NJ with a military funeral immediately following Mass.

Until we meet again…we leave this loyal Broncos fan with a final fist pump!
