My father-in-law was a blessing to know as 2 feature characteristics of him remain with me. Firstly, was Richard’s tenacity. He was unshakable, unmovable and unstoppable. Like a true soldier standing firm and grounded in who he was, Richard defended his principles, values, country and family with might. Secondly, Richard had a great sense of humor and was one of the funniest persons I have ever met. You’d start your day in a mood but after an encounter with Richard, you’d be chuckling on reflection about something he had said. He surely knew how to ‘verbally spar’ and was never one to leave ‘the ring’ without throwing out some of his unexpected punches in jokes, jabs and jibes. Now Richard has gone, I can say he lived according to his purpose I.e. he ‘fought the good fight’ and finished ‘the course’. He will not be forgotten as memories of him live on in our hearts and minds. R.I.P.

Chucky was a genuine and caring soul who touched many lives. Chucky was known for his wittiness and always showed compassion to others. Chucky will be deeply missed. My prayers go out to the Kerry Family. May he Rest in Peace .
