Obituary of Lucila Rios

Lucila (Bonilla) Rios, age 76, of Browns Mills passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, she moved to New Jersey at age 7 and has been an area resident since then. Lucila had worked at the King’s Academy Daycare in Wrightstown before her retirement. She had a profound Love for God and was a very happy person and always smiling. Lucila enjoyed singing and dancing and gave her love to everyone she knew. She is predeceased by her husband, Luis “Tony” Rios; by her father, Justino Bonilla and by two brothers, Carlos Bonilla and Robert Bonilla. Lucila is survived by her four children, Bernardo Roman of Browns Mills, Justino Roman and wife Mary of Brick, Annette Gonzalez and husband Freddy of Browns Mills and Lisa Ortiz and husband David of Nevada; her mother, Ernesta Bonilla of Howell; a brother, Wilfredo Bonilla of Whiting; four sisters, Nilly Rosario of Pemberton, Arlene Bonilla of Howell, Christine Bonilla of Howell and Milagros Porcena of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Candido Martinez, Ricardo Roman, Ezquiel Gonzalez, Desiree Vazquez, Jeffrey Myer, Angel Roman, Jessica Roman, Bernardo Roman III, Jose Rodriguez III, Lissette Rodriguez, Bianca Rodriguez, Dominique Ortiz, David Ortiz, Justino Roman, Jr., Amanda Marie Roman, Ashley Avallone, Paul Garcia, Gianna Sanchez and Nicholas Sanchez, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Lucila will be held on Saturday, January 4 at 3:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Calling hours will be on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
