David L. Boss, age 72, of New Egypt, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at home. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Leon and June (Cressler) Boss on August 7, 1947. David joined the Army in 1967 then three years later in 1970 married his wife Doris (Everett) Boss. He was a security guard at Spring Point (Meadow Lakes) in Hightstown. David was a big Elvis fan and loved all his Philadelphia sports teams. Coaching his three children in sports, especially baseball and softball, over the years was his greatest joy. David was known to be the loudest and most excited fan at the games. He also loved watching his seven grandchildren grow up and play sports and he was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He was a very loving husband to Doris, a father, a Pop Pop, and friend who will be deeply missed. Davis is predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years Doris Boss of New Egypt; his three children, Jenny Boss Parsons and husband Jeffrey of Ewing, Davy Boss and wife Tina of Florence, and Lee Boss and wife Lisa of Robbinsville; his seven grandchildren, Brenna Boss, Matthew Boss, Julia Boss, Joel Parsons, Blake Boss, Lexi Boss, and Samantha Parsons. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 12PM to 2PM at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Interment will follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David’s memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 200 Vesey Street, 28th Floor, New York, NY 10281.
