I was sorry to hear about the passing of Bill. My condolences and prayers are with the family. I enjoyed working with Bill at Challenge and listening to stories about his life’s journeys and his many talents. Whenever he was called to fix a problem with your computer he would tell you a technology joke to make you laugh. He spoke often of his family and how close they were and the grandchildren that he loved dearly. May the loving memories of Bill bring you comfort and peace. Doris Murray

I was blessed to work with Bill for many years. He had a special charm that was his alone. Great sincerity in him and it was indeed a wonderful experience to know him. So sorry to hear of Billy’s passing I have so many memories. Too many to mention but one stands above the rest. While in high school Bill had a party at in home on Evergreen rd. at this party I met a girl named Jackie and we are still together. Bill I just want to say thank you.

He was a great grandfather and I would never forget the way he treated everyone the same. On nights I couldn’t sleep he would get be a cup of milk and let me sit in his chair and I fell asleep there. He would make the cheesy dad jokes when we said we were bored he would give the best hugs. I won’t forget him at all he was great to me and everyone around him he was amazing soul I love him.

I worked with Bill for many years at Challenge. He was a help to me, and he always had an interesting story to share. Many of those stories were about his family, always told with pride and love. Billy and his family used to visit us in NC. I have fond memories of our childhood adventures. I remember him, his Mom, and sister coming to my 8th grade graduation. We went to the beach that day and we all got sunburned. Needless to say we were all miserable sitting in that un-air conditioned auditorium. It gave us something to laugh about though. I hate that we grew up and apart because I would have loved to meet his family. Venessa Collier (my cousin) told me about his passing and sent me the link to this site.
