Robert A. Karas, age 69, long time resident of Southampton, formally from Browns Mills, passed away on May 5, 2020 at home. He was born in Trenton on May 12, 1950 to the late Adam and Agnes (Hancarik) Karas. Robert proudly served as MSGT for the United States Air Force. He worked as a Production Controller GS-9 at McGuire Air Force Base. Robert was an avid model railroader and was an authorized Lionel Train repairman doing work for several area train stores. He enjoyed his trips to Disney and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend that will be deeply missed. Robert is predeceased by his parents, and his beloved wife Irene Karas. He is survived by his son Robert Karas, Jr. of Fuquay-Varina, NC; his daughter Lindsay Long and husband Trevor of Levittown, PA; his girlfriend, Linda Rahilly of Trenton; his two sisters, Barbara Lawlor of Trenton, and Susan Spang and husband Tom of Andover, MA; his two brothers, Edward Karas and wife MerryAnn Perpetua of Ewing, and Tom Karas and wife Tracy of Robbinsville; his four grandchildren, Kaylee Meadows, Tyler Long, Keira Karas, and Thomas J. Long; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Tilghman Funeral Home 52 Main Street New Egypt, NJ 08533. Inurnment will follow in the Brig. Gen. WC Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
