Obituary of Kennan T. Mowery

Please share a memory of Kennan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kennan T. Mowery, age 43, of Jacobstown, NJ, passed suddenly and unexpectedly Saturday, September 26, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center. Though he battled health issues for a long time, Kennan was one of the toughest men you could meet, staying strong and determined for his family always. He was born to Victoria and the late Bill Mowery on August 3, 1977 in Trenton, NJ. Kennan was a lifetime area resident and employed as a commercial fleet transport driver for many years. Kennan loved being outdoors, camping and fishing. He had a passion for racing, cars, woodworking, and home renovation. However, his greatest achievement in life was his son, Tomas Kennan Mowery. Nothing brought him greater joy than helping Tomas build his Slingshot Racing career and perfecting his cars. Kennan was a loyal, devoted and dedicated father, son, brother, uncle, boyfriend and friend to all the special people in his life and will be forever and deeply missed. Kennan is predeceased by his father, Bill Mowery; by his aunt, Sharon Van Arsdale and by his grandparents. He leaves behind his mother, Victoria Mowery and his son Tomas Mowery of Jacobstown; his sister, MaryAnn Holley and husband Lawrence of Browns Mills; his brother, Shawn Mowery and wife Amanda of Jacobstown; his nephews, Andre, Derrick, Dante and Michael; longtime girlfriend, Amy Kobren of New Egypt; along with many cousins and close friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 10AM to 11Am at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A graveside service will begin at 11:30AM at the Cream Ridge Cemetery, located on Burlington Path Road in Cream Ridge, NJ. Facial coverings and social distancing are required with a maximum of 25 people inside the funeral home at a time.
