Gerald L. “Jerry” Napora, age 76, of Wrightstown passed away Friday, October 23 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicago, IL, he had been a resident of Wrightstown since 1972.
Jerry proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Korea, where he met the love of his life, his wife Kim Napora. After his military service he went to work at the US Postal Service and retired from the Hamilton, NJ Post Office after 36 years of dedicated service. During his time with the Post Office, Jerry received many awards for his outstanding service. Jerry was a devoted husband and father.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Loretta Napora and by a brother, James Napora. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Kim Napora; two sons, Henry Napora and wife Michelle of Pemberton and Kenneth Napora of Wrightstown; two granddaughters, Emily Napora and Sarah Napora; a step-grandson, Jonathan Ferrell; two great grandchildren, Philomena and Jameson Cavanaugh and two brothers, Fred Napora and wife Ann of Spokane, WA and Kenneth Napora of Chicago, IL; his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Labuda of Bartlett, IL and Brian Napora, Heidi Spray, Cameron Napora and Mindy Fern all of Spokane, WA. Jerry is also survived by a longtime close family friend, Ethel Edson and family of Wrightstown.
Funeral services and interment for Jerry will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt, NJ (www.TilghmanFH.com).
